Austrade

Austrade manages the TradeStart program, a national network of export assistance offices, delivered as partnerships between Austrade and a range of local private and public sector organisations throughout Australia.

Austrade and TradeStart offer a package of free services designed to assist small and medium sized Australian companies develop their business overseas and make their first export sale.

TradeStart Export Advisers are located in the Export Hubs and can provide assistance to companies with:

practical export information and advice
identification of overseas opportunities
on-the-ground exporting support overseas and within Australia
a comprehensive trade exhibition program
services to identify potential overseas business partners and to research and access high potential markets for Australian companies
developing an export strategy and network formation services
financial assistance through the Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme, which encourages businesses to seek out and develop overseas markets. Under the scheme, eligible Australian businesses are reimbursed for part of export promotion costs they incur.
